Workout suspended for 2 weeks (COVID-19 Update)

Head Coach
Dear parents and swimmers;

Even if the Lawson pool remains open for the moment, we feel that our Team should take further action and do our part to reduce the spread “Flattening the curve” and keep our athletes, staff, and families healthy.

We decided to  suspend all training for the next 2 weeks for all age group swimmers  except 9 Olympic Trials qualifying swimmers. The decision was difficult but made in the best interest of our athletes, staff and our families. Our action to suspend for 2 weeks will help mitigate the spread of the virus in Regina.

The Learn to Swim program just finished yesterday, the next session will start Saturday, May 2, 2020.

That break will be great opportunities for the athletes to rest, relax and work on the new goals for this summer and next season. Each coach will contact his group and provide some advice to keep them active with some exercise at home our outdoor activities where is clean and safe.

As the Lawson still open, we will have a training plan for our 9 Olympic Trials qualifying swimmers to practice, in small group and a limited basis. as the Olympic Trials as postponed by swimming Canada. A special email will be sent to the 9 swimmers with the instruction of the plan.

Our plan is to reopen on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. we will review the opening date base on COVID-19 recommendations. For now, we will extend the season by 2 weeks to make up for the workout that you missed.
