How you can improve your Start? 

  • Improve your high jump (Explosif)
  • Improve your lower body flexibility (Important for the body position on the block)

Why the start is important?

  • Start swimming with high speed at the 15m
  • You will relax the 1st lap to achieve your race plane
  • You will not over swim the first lap

Different steps of the start:

  1. Body position (preparation)
  2. Reaction
  3. Acceleration
  4. Flight
  5. Entry
  6. Changing direction (1st dolphins kick)
  7. Under Water.... (how far?)
  8. Breakout
