Swim Officials Learning opportunities.

Dear Parents and Athletes,

Below, a message from Swim Sask about the Virtual Swim Officials Learning opportunities.

We wish to provide every opportunity for our swim community to continue to be engaged in and advancing as an official. Therefore, the Swim Sask Master and Senior Officials Committee are pleased to offer Online and Virtual Learning Opportunities to become a swim official or advance as a swim official. 

New officials can begin their training via Online Learning while those who have been officiating for awhile can advance their training via Virtual Learning. 

See which option might work best for you and share with your membership!

1. Online Learning

To access Online Learning:

1.    Be 14 years and older for the Intro to Swim Officiating 

2.    Sign a privacy declaration form (PIPEDA) link

3.    Submit complete(PIPEDA)form to [email protected] to be activated as an official and gain access to online learning.

4.    Swimming Canada Learning Management System link: https://edu.swimming.ca/

Online learning is currently available through Swimming Canada for the following clinics: 

·         Intro to Swim Officiating

·         Chief Timekeeper

·         Safety Marshall

1. Virtual Learning

To access Virtual Learning:

1.    Be 16 years and older 

2.    Sign a privacy declaration form (PIPEDA link) if have not done so yet this season

3.    Submit complete(PIPEDA)form to [email protected];

4.    SIGN UP for Virtual Training HERE; pre-registration is required.

5.    Clinics will be offered via the online platform ZOOM.

The Introduction to Swim Officiating clinic MUST be taken BEFORE taking any other clinics.

Virtual Learning is available for the following clinics:

·         Judge of Strokes and Inspector of Turns

·         Clerk of Course

·         CFJ/CJE/RS

·         Starter

·         Meet Manager
